Milla Dakovic is an arts administrator with a background in art history, cinema studies, and extensive experience in curating and managing visual arts exhibitions in both commercial galleries and in local government. Currently the Visual Arts Officer at the Frankston Arts Centre, Milla is deeply committed to fostering the thriving visual arts community on the Mornington Peninsula area.
After completing her Arts Degree, Milla embarked on a fulfilling career journey in the arts industry, which spans over two decades. Her role at the Frankston Arts Centre since 2014 has been marked by her unwavering dedication to promoting artistic diversity and community engagement. As the Visual Arts Officer, she organises the FAC Open art competition, exhibition opening events and over 50 exhibitions annually across five gallery spaces. From emerging talents to established artists, Milla ensures that the FAC serves as a vibrant and high exposure platform for artists of all backgrounds to showcase their work in one of Victoria’s most activated arts centres.
For the last 10 years Milla has also worked casually at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery and prior to working at Frankston Arts Centre, Milla co-owned and managed a commercial art gallery in the Gertrude Street arts precinct of Fitzroy.
